I just read this book and was surprised! I usually see a lot of self pity in such books. Not this one. I particularly liked the chapter on removing the layers. Good inspiring story!"
Great book! Most definitely a keeper! It really put you life in perspective if it's not already there. Very enlightening!

This was an amazing read. I related on so many levels
This book is an amazing read. Vanessa Canteberry not only opened up to her audience about her past, but she made it possible for them (myself included) to realize that they are not alone in their struggles. Her story is encouraging, especially since it is one that so many can relate to. She not only tells of her desire to overcome the lowered expectations that society had for her as a young, single mother, but she provides a proven method to help those who may need guidance.
Vanessa has demonstrated that we do not need to be statistics and neither do our children. There is hope and she is a testimony to that. Her message is beyond powerful and I appreciate being fortunate enough to have heard it. My prayer is that this book reaches the masses and serves as motivation for all those who may find themselves in similar situations.
I am forever grateful Vanessa!! Thank you for sharing your story.
